The ink card fingerprint is the standard or old-fashioned method of fingerprinting. At Fortis Biometric Services, we use an ink solution that wipes away cleanly, leaving no ink stains on our clients' fingers. The ridge characteristics of our client are recorded on a FD-258 Fingerprint Card and can be used to provide the necessary accuracy to determine an individual's identity.
